Dallas Poet Laureate logo

The Dallas Poet Laureate program was launched in April 2022 by Dallas Public Library, the Office of Arts and Culture and Deep Vellum. Every two years, a Dallas Poet Laureate is elected in order to help encourage greater literacy awareness in the Dallas community.

With the generous support of the Joe M. and Doris R. Dealey Family Foundation and the Friends of the Dallas Public Library, the Youth Poet Laureate of Dallas will encourage and support the literary talent of young people pursuing creative endeavors and to provide a platform for a youth voice in Dallas.
