250 Years of US - Reading America's past, writing our future

In 2026, our nation marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence—a time to reflect on our history, honor diverse stories, and look ahead together.

The Dallas Public Library is proud to be a hub for America250 conversations. Through programs, exhibits, and community events, we invite you to explore the spirit of 1776 and the many voices that continue to shape our future.
