Career Launch Pad
Take advantage of the library’s Career Launch Pad service! Book a one-on-one session with a library staff person to help you with your job search. Fill out applications, update your resume and find out about local resources that can help you take your next step in your career.
Additional help may include guided job searching, interview prep, applying for government benefits, creating an email and other needs in the job search process.
Appointments are based on availability and set for at least one business day out. Call or walk-in to schedule. Available in Spanish at some locations.
One on One appointments are currently available on the 5th and 6th floor of the Central Library and all branch locations.

3D Printing

3D Printing is available on the 5th floor of the Central Library.
The Multimedia lab on the 5th floor of the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library is a space dedicated to promoting open access to learn more about science and technology used in today’s work environments, educational institutions, or by entrepreneurs.
How to Get Started
Give us a call at 214-670-1608 or email business@dallas.gov to sign up for an appointment.
Appointments should be made in advance of your visit. They are given in one-hour increments, with a 15-minute grace period before rescheduling is needed. Walk-ins are welcome during Open Lab hours on Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m.

General Guidelines
Projects must be compatible with our FlashForge Adventurer 3
The size limit for prints is 8x8x8 in, up to 100 mb for the G-Code and STL file.
Project must be printed and picked up within business hours. No overnight prints.
Only black and white 1.75mm PLA filament is available. External filament must be approved by staff before use.
Must be age 13 and older. Children ages 12 and under must always be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian.
Food and drink are prohibited near the equipment.
There is no storage available for ongoing projects or digital files.
You must provide your own flash drive or borrow one of ours.
The library is not responsible for any defects in the equipment or items created within its spaces.
Safety Guidelines must be followed at all times; failure to do so may result in the revocation of access to the equipment.
